One platform, two pricing options
GovCMS has two service offerings, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Software as a Service (SaaS)
GovCMS SaaS We do the hard work, so you don’t have to. We’ll take care of security and management of the platform. All you need to do is build your website, create its content and ensure it meets GovCMS migration requirements.

Platform as a Service (PaaS)
GovCMS PaaS Do you have access to an in-house team of developers? Does the management of your website require higher levels of control, customisation or flexibility? This may be the plan for you. The catch is you’ll need to do your own security updates and patching.

GovCMS SaaS pricing plans
We do all the hard work for you. All you need to do is build your website and add your content. Prices are calculated based on monthly page views and charged annually. The below fees do not include GST.

*A ‘hit’ (or http request) is processed by the GovCMS back-end infrastructure (also referred to as Origin). The maximum limit that applies to your plan measures all hits that are not cached by GovCMS CDN (Akamai). This includes traffic that is handled by Drupal such as:
- database searches
- API calls
- requests received from feeds or scripts
- downloads of uncached file assets (documents, style sheets, images etc)
- bot activity and crawlers
- search engine indexers (including Google Search Bot)
- content editing and publishing activities.
GovCMS SaaS inclusions
- GovCMS Drupal distribution (features and functionality)
- Management and implementation of security updates and patches
- Web protection services including DDoS protection, web application firewall and a content delivery cache
- Unlimited editors and publishers - you manage access to your website
- 5GB database (Mega and Giga plans get a 10GB database)
- 10GB file storage (Mega and Giga plans get 20GB file storage)
- Unlimited service desk tickets
- Self-serve backups kept for 90 days
- Archival backups kept for seven years
GovCMS PaaS pricing plans
As a PaaS customer, you’ll receive a tailored proposal to meet the needs of your website. You can choose the size of infrastructure and bandwidth capacity required for your project. You can also add service desk and infrastructure support.
GovCMS PaaS inclusions
- minimum 5GB database
- 10GB file storage
- Unlimited editors and publishers - you manage access to your website
- Self-serve backups kept for a maximum of 90 days

GovCMS sandbox development environment
You can develop your website within the GovCMS platform or externally. If you choose to develop within the GovCMS platform, you will be using the sandbox development environment.
If you develop externally, things will look different to GovCMS and take time to change once you’ve migrated across. Have you considered using our sandbox development environment?

Charges for access to the GovCMS sandbox are added to SaaS and PaaS* annual plans. The below fees do not include GST.

*All PaaS sandbox plans require a support plan, this PaaS pricing includes the Basic Support Plan. You can choose a different support option for an additional cost.
GovCMS redirect service
The GovCMS redirect service is a highly available service offering for fast, seamless HTTPS URL redirects. The configuration of this service supports strong Transport Layer Security (ie TLS 1.3) with automated certificate renewals. For added security this service has HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) enabled by default.
The use of this service is available to all GovCMS customers, for redirects that conform to the scope of the service offering.
If you wish to use this service, the first redirect is free for new/current GovCMS websites. The following costs will apply for further redirects:
